So two of the moderators at otp20in20 opened up a sister community solo20in20 for individual characters rather than pairs. I just had to join in because, as with their first community, I really like the freedom it gives us to explore many different types of anime, manga, video games and artists depending on what our monthly mood dictates. Plus I expected the competition to be as fierce here as it is there and thus far I have not been disappointed. Also the themed challenges (this month is Snow White) is an interesting twist!

I'm probably crazy to think I can handle two 20in20 claims a month (is currently ignoring other commitments to make graphics *dodges stones* >.>) but we shall see... I just like being both inspired to make icons and also motivated to actually then post them in this community as a result, instead of having them gather dust in my folders.

It's 5 AM and I'm suppose to be asleep right now, yet I'm working on an icon post instead... this can't be healthy. I always begin my 20in20 claims with the best of intentions, wanting to finish early so members actually get to see my icons, since otherwise I miss the reveal post... but at the end of the day I'm both a procrastinator and perfectionist which does not suit this type of challenge well at all. My computer crashing and leaving me unable to access my graphics program for a few days didn't help either. Despite this, I came so close to finishing on time but ran out of stamina to finalize the last few icons and had to give up... however, since the moderators of otp20in20 are evil temptresses kind enough to still be accepting last minute entries, I just had to get this done before voting went up!

This month I have 20 icons featuring various pairings from the FFverse using artwork by Yoshitaka Amano. There were so many gorgeous images to choose from and so many interesting pairings to work with (from lovers and rivals to family and friends) that I simply could not use them all, so inspiration permitting, I'm going to have to do some more such icons at a later date. Hopefully I did his illustration style justice, I certainly enjoyed working with both them and various textures to achieve the desired effects. Please help yourself, all I ask in return is that you:

This is actually June's claim at otp20in20, being posted in July because they were kind enough to give everyone an extension... though I didn't actually get to take advantage of it as much as orignally planned and tinker some more with my (otherwise basically completed) icons, since life decided to happen during that extra week. Actually I almost didn't post these as a result, but since I woke up this morning to see that they were still accepting last minute submissions, I took it as a sign to throw this post together before work and submit >.>

Today I bring you 20 icons featuring Alois Trancy & Ciel Phantomhive from Kuroshitsuji. At the previously mentioned Anime Convention that I attended, there were so many beautiful cosplays from this series, that it inspired me to want to make this set. I decided to focus on this particular pairing because their relationship is err interesting, for lack of a better word... that and their clothing is much prettier than the butler's XD I certainly had fun exploring different angles, even if it was more difficult to find and work with (lots of cropping and manipulation here) suitable imagery. Today I have 30 icons featuring the anime/manga series Chrono Crusade, a claim I did for shounenicontest's special anniversery challenge.
